Getting started

Set up capture permissions

Check microphone and system-audio access before starting a conversation.

Live sessions listen to your microphone and the other side through system audio. Rehearsal uses your microphone, with the AI counterpart presented as text. Permission settings belong to this device and apply across your workspaces.

Check the device

  1. Open your avatar, then Privacy & permissions in Account. You can also follow Privacy & permissions from a Prospect's launch dock.
  2. Under System permissions, inspect Microphone and, on macOS, Screen & system audio.
  3. If System audio recording only appears, check that separate macOS permission too.
  4. Use the permission row's grant or settings action. Follow the operating-system prompt, then return and choose Check again.
  5. Return to the Prospect, choose Live, and check that Microphone and System audio show Ready before starting.

Checking or granting permissions does not begin capture. Only the session's Start control starts that flow. A device restriction may require your administrator to change its policy; retrying cannot override it.

Why Screen Recording appears

macOS may require Screen Recording permission to capture system audio. Sales Copilot does not read screen content or store screen pixels, screenshots, or video.

Review screen-share protection

The Hide from screen sharing switch applies protection to Sales Copilot windows. On macOS it also hides the Dock icon and removes the app from Command-Tab; reopen it from the menu bar. Protection depends on the operating system and sharing application, so check your sharing preview before the call.
